Senior Dues

Class of 2023 Senior Dues: $80

  • Senior fees typically cover all school-based costs for the students related to their graduation such as payments for the EagleBank Arena, diplomas, flowers, caps, gowns, and printing.
  • Fees are payable by MySchoolBucks or cash/personal check (through May 5th) → The MSB link will go live Monday, January 17.

Graduation Rehearsals

May 31 SENIOR Breakfast – 8:30  - 9:30 AM – Cafeteria

  • Breakfast and meeting for all seniors in the Cafeteria.  Seniors will hand in laptops and clear obligations.

JUNE 1 1st REHEARSAL FOR GRADUATING SENIORS — 8:00 AM-11:00 AM — Gym

  • Mandatory meeting for graduating seniors. Caps and gowns will be distributed to students following rehearsal. Senior fees and financial obligations must be paid in full prior to receipt of caps and gowns.

JUNE 2 2nd REHEARSAL FOR GRADUATING SENIORS— 9:00 AM-12:00 PM —Gym

  • Mandatory meeting for seniors. Practice is essential for a flawless ceremony. Honor recipients are named and awarded their medals at this rehearsal.

 

ES Grad Walk-June 2

If a senior would like to walk in a graduation walk at one of the LB pyramid elementary schools, please sign up using this form: https://tinyurl.com/Classof2023GradWalk

A senior can choose to walk at any elementary school, even if they did not attend.

 

Graduation-Monday, June 5, 7:30pm, Eagle Bank Arena

EagleBank Arena at GMU, 4500 Patriot Circle, Fairfax VA.  Graduation is a school-sponsored event and will follow all FCPS rules, policies, and regulations.

There will be no tickets this year, and thus no cap on the number of guests for each graduate.

Arrival

  • Seniors arrive at 6:00 PM via the loading dock.
  • Doors will open for families at approximately 6:30 PM.
  • We encourage carpooling and/or families dropping off their students at 6:00 PM.
  • Parking is available for guests with disabilities at the South and West entrances.
  • All entrances are wheelchair accessible. Portals 4, 8, 13 and 17 are reserved for guests in wheelchairs. Rows E, F and G are labeled "Reserved-Handicapped." 

Ceremony

  • The graduation ceremony will start at 7:30 PM and will last no more than 2 hours.
  • Professional dress is required for students, as this is a celebration of their accomplishments.
  • Graduation decorum includes exemplary senior behavior throughout the graduation ceremony. Graduation is intended to be a dignified event, not a pep rally.
  • Please … no air horns, beach balls, or other distracting items or behaviors. Our seniors have worked extremely hard and deserve to hear his/her name read aloud.
  • Guests and family members are asked to remain seated during the ceremony. 
  • Please wait for your student outside of the North entrance following the ceremony. 
  • Victor O’Neill Studios will provide commencement portraits and will send an email with the link to the albums following graduation. Purchase is optional.
  • Memories, a professional production company, will videotape the ceremony. Purchase is optional. A mail-in order form will be available at graduation with the program.

All Night Grad Party-June 5, The St. James

  •  All Night Grad Party tickets are now on sale on the PTSA website! The party is June on 5 at the St. James following graduation! Festivities include the adult climbing gym, ninja warrior course, casino games, ice skating, swimming, inflatables, music, climbing walls, and a whole lot more. Tickets are $75. Purchase your ticket before May 1 when ticket prices go up to $80.

Graduation Yard Signs -PTSA

  • Class of 2023 yard sign sales are live on the PTSA website!  They are available for $23.00.  Pick-up and delivery options are available to select at the time of purchase!  

Mulch Sale- PTSA

  • Visit the LBSS PTSA  website to order mulch!
  • The LBSS PTSA will host the All Night Grad Party for the Lake Braddock Class of 2023.  The mulch will be $5 per bag.

  • We are once again offering the JK’s double shredded hardwood 3 cubic foot bags of mulch.

  • With an order of 15 bags or more, we offer free delivery on Saturday, March 25th and Sunday, March 26th. Otherwise, you can pick up your mulch at Lake Braddock Secondary School during the weekend of March 25th.

  • VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:

Bridging Bruins

Attention Class of 2023 – If you are interested in getting hands-on experience outside of the classroom while forging relationships in the community, complete the Bridging Bruins Internship interest form linked here.  Seniors in good standing will have the opportunity to work with a business, public agency, or service organization of their choosing.  Instead of going to class during the last few weeks of school, Bridging Bruins interns will go to work.  To be considered, please complete the interest form.
