October 4, 2019

All students registered in Scienteer

  • Parent acknowledgement must be received for students to proceed
  • Students will need to decide on partners if they choose and link projects in Scienteer
  • All students must have an account and parental permission
  • No human subject experiments for this year
  • Support for students without teacher required project-flex Bruin Block, October 4th
  • Get students registered on site

  • Brainstorm ideas for topic
  • Research tips and guidance

November 1, 2019

Deadline to have research plan and bibliography completed

  • SRC approval will then be able to be completed if necessary

November 15, 2019

All projects reviewed by teachers and students may begin if approved

  • Students make requested changes and resubmit by Nov 25 for teacher approval

December 1, 2019

(On or before) - Suggested start date for experimentation

January 14, 2020 - flex Bruin Block-

Support for students without teacher required project

  • Help with board preparation and presentation tips

January 14, 2020

Experiment complete in Scienteer-conclusions and abstract completed in the program

  • Scienteer should indicate 100% complete

  • Students should begin to put together boards-Maureen will host a Bruin Block session on how to build board in late January (sometime between Jan 6-10)-not mandatory for students
