College-Bound Culture
Lake Braddock Secondary School is named as a Gold Medal School, ranked in the top 2% of all high schools in the nation by U. S. News and World Report. We received the AP School Honor Roll’s 2023 Gold Distinction Award for our college-going culture and maximizing college readiness -- 95 percent of our students go to a two or four year college or university!
Advanced and Inclusive Academics
We meet the academic, physical, social, and emotional needs of each member of our diverse student body. Lake Braddock Secondary School offers full-time Advanced Academic Services, as well as special education services and programs for multilingual learners.

Strong Family and Community Partnerships

Award-Winning Athletics
Lake Braddock Secondary School is proud to have over 55 of our students inducted into the Athletics Hall of Fame! Our Girls Gymnastics team has won the state championships 12 times including the last three consecutive years: 2022, 2023, and 2024.
Emphasis on Arts
The Lake Braddock Secondary School Marching Band has received Superior ratings for the last 43 consecutive years! We have won the Cappies Award for best play and have been given an award for superior concert season ratings in band, orchestra and chorus.
Promoting Student Leadership
Lake Braddock Secondary School has a number of student government, honor societies, and activities to promote personal growth and leadership among students. This includes the National Honor Society, Model United Nations, Future Business Leaders of America, and more!

A History of Excellence
Lake Braddock Secondary School recently celebrated our 50th anniversary! We’re proud to be the heartbeat of our community. Over the years, we’ve helped countless students prepare for the future and reach their unique potential -- including soccer star Mia Hamm and track star Alan Johnson!
Two Way Mentorship
At Lake Braddock, our students don’t just benefit from having mentors, they also benefit from being mentors! Our Bruin Buddies program pairs LBSS students with younger students, which helps build leadership and positive modeling within our community.
