Parents/guardians have a deadline of Tuesday, August 8, 2023, to return input and consent forms for new or amended College Board testing accommodations (PSAT/NMSQT and SAT School Day) or one-time EL supports (SAT School Day only). The school SSD Coordinator, Darin Byrd @email, has until Tuesday, August 22, 2023, to document and submit accommodation requests online to the College Board. Note that:
- This fall, the PSAT/NMSQT will be delivered digitally. Some accommodations are administered differently on digital tests than for paper/pencil tests. Differences are highlighted in Using Accommodations on Digital Tests.
- Remember that students with accommodations previously approved by College Board SSD do not need to resubmit the request.

How long is the test?
This information will be posted when it is available.
What should my student bring to school for the SAT School Day test?
- Pencils and calculators will not be provided by the the testing office.
- Multiple #2 pencils. No mechanical pencils.
- Picture ID. Here is a list of acceptable ID from College Board. Please note that last year’s LBSS school ID with picture is fine as well.
- SAT approved calculator, If your student needs to borrow one, please let me know as we have a few in the testing office. Calculators cannot be borrowed on the day of the test.
- Snacks and water
- Please do not bring backpacks. The above items should be placed in a clear Ziploc-like bag like you would for Saturday SAT testing.
What is prohibited from testing?
You may NOT bring any electronic “smart” device such as a cell phone, laptop, or wearable technology like a Smart Watch or Fitbit. Please leave these items in your car or at home.
Is food allowed?
Students can have snacks in a clear ziplock bag and water in a clear plastic bottle
How can my student prepare for the SAT School Day?
The SAT Student Guide, which includes a practice test, is linked above. The College Board has also partnered with Khan Academy to provide online practice: Official SAT® Practice. How can my student apply for testing accommodations for the SAT?

An eNotify was sent out to rising seniors on June 1, 2023.
When will my student receive SAT School Day scores?
Scores should be available online to students through their free College Board accounts. Students can view scores via College Board. Students who do not currently have a College Board account will need to create one to view scores. Students should use their personal email (not fcpsschools.net accounts) to create their CB account.
Scores must be obtained online through the free College Board accounts. Scores will NOT be emailed to students therefore College Board accounts must be created and maintained in order to view scores via College Board
Who should/shouldn't attend school on Wednesday, October 11th, 2023?
Grade 12 students are encouraged to participate in the SAT; those choosing not to take the SAT do not attend school this day. YOU MUST REGISTER FOR THE TEST IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE.
