On Election Day, November 6, 2018, FCPS students served as election pages at voting precincts throughout Fairfax County. The Washington, DC media outlet, CQ Roll Call, produced a 4 minute video report titled "17 to 70: Poll Volunteers of All Ages, Backgrounds Give Back on Election Day". The segment was shot entirely at LBSS and prominently features interviews with three of US Government students, including, Ibtida Faruque, Joe Meiners, and Aliya Magnuson. Ibtida and her twin sister, Irtiza Faruque, both served as election pages alongside their mother, Sumia Faruque a Fairfax County elections officer.
