Congratulations to Eileen Hoppock on being recognized as the 2019 Summer FCPS Cares Recipient of the Month for Region 4 by the Department of Human Resources. Congratulations, Ms. Hoppock!

Below is the write up submitted by Ms. Soos, a colleague of Ms. Hoppock.

As our staff is returning to school this week, our administrative team has put together a rotation schedule for our faculty to attend informational and professional development sessions with their department cohorts on both Monday and Tuesday. Assistant Principal, Eileen Hoppock, designed and graciously took the lead on the SIIP PD session and absolutely ROCKED it! She seamlessly, succinctly and accurately connected the Theory of Action, the work of CT and Portrait of a Graduate in such a way that allowed our teachers the time to create and draft their yearly goals, while the rest of the team circulated and offered expertise/help. Learning targets and outcomes were clearly identified, thus allowing our teams to engage in relevant and meaningful work. Each CT was able to make connections and draw from data based on earlier Faculty exercise/activity. With the overwhelming feelings associated with the beginning of school and teachers needing (wanting) to get classrooms ready, CTs felt extremely relieved to have been afforded the opportunity to collaborate in this structured environment.
