2022 Gratitude Challenge/Day 1-Comfort-We find COMFORT in being together again! Although sometimes loud and busy, we are grateful for these full halls of Lake Braddock and for being together again!

Day 2-Nature-We are grateful for the NATURE that surrounds us right here at LB!

Day 3-Wisdom-What better topic for a school! We are grateful for all the WISDOM that our teachers and coaches are able to give to our students and each other!

Day 4-Love-Love makes the world go 'round! LB LOVES all our students and staff and the diversity they all bring to a greater community!

Day 5-Creativity-Today we are grateful for 50 years of CREATIVITY in LB Theater! We hope you have been able to enjoy many of the shows in the past 50 years! A world without creativity would be a dull place indeed!

Day 6-Weather-Let's take a moment to reflect on the wonders of weather and be grateful for your favorite kind of weather! We know one type of weather all teachers and students love--SNOW--lots and lots of snow!

Day 7-Adventure-You don't need to travel too far to find a new place to get a fresh perspective! This Bruin is walking the paths of Lake Mercer here in Fairfax County!

Day 8-Words-For many students, writing is way to express their thoughts and feelings. On October 20, many of our students participated in Why I Write, heading outside to use chalk as a tool for their words.

Day 9-Connection-Connection, whether it’s interactions with strangers or the comfort of an old friend, is something we’re lucky to have. We here at LB are lucky to have each other. After a year or two of trying to literally connect to each other virtually, we are grateful to return to our in-person CONNECTIONS.

Day 10-Wonder-Today, we find gratitude in the wonder of what may be after our students graduate! We are grateful for Ms. Sandy Hunter in the College and Career Center who is there to help show our Bruins the various paths that may be right for them once leaving Lake Braddock!

Day 11-Feelings-Feelings come and go, and even the painful ones have their benefits. We have an awesome group of Student Services staff that can help our students with any feelings they may be having!
