NEW!! Lake Braddock Academic Booster Club is offering several Pride Scholarships to graduating Seniors. Return the application by Thursday, April 21st.

Your dues and support enable the club to: 

• Publish the quarterly Honor Roll by purchasing "ads" in the high school and middle school student newspapers
• Provide SAT and ACT prep and practice tests with feedback sessions, fall & spring
• Annually award college scholarships to LBSS Seniors
• Host middle school awards ceremonies
• Subsidize teacher sponsored programs, including:
  • AVID, ESOL, Math Counts, English Reading program, Science Olympiad, Chemistry equipment, Biology enrichment, SAT prep, Odyssey of the Mind, Model UN, Herpetology Club, DECA, Special Ed math materials & novels, AP Gov flash cards, and more!

Ace the ACT!

Join Catalyst for an ACT Bootcamp, a 2-day workshop that arms students with go-to strategies for every question they're guaranteed to face on the ACT. Catalyst's ACT Bootcamp is the only prep class designed by instructor's who take the actual ACT every time the test is offered. Selected topics include how to:

• Shortcut math questions that stump more than 90% of test-takers
• Highlight key information in seemingly confusing ACT Science passages
• Spot hidden clues that instantly reveal the main idea in long ACT Reading passages
• Crack the 10 types of English questions guaranteed to be on the ACT

Location: Lake Braddock Secondary School
Dates & Times: Saturday, October 17th from 1pm-5pm and Sunday, October 18th from 1pm-5pm
Cost: Just $175, we unfortunately cannot accommodate walk-in students

A Portion Of The Proceeds Benefits The Lake Braddock Academic Boosters!

Academic Donations: The Academic Booster Club provided funds to teachers for Academic Programs during the 2014-2015 school year. These funds were raised through the Catalyst SAT Boot Camp and your memberships.  Thank you for joining of the Academic Boosters Club!

Senior Scholarship: the Academic Booster Club also awarded two $500 scholarships to Lake Braddock Seniors last year. Look for our scholarship application in early Spring 2016.

Academic Trophy Case: Check out our Academic Awards Trophy case in the main hall of the school. Through our fundraising and membership dues this year, we hope to purchase an Academic Awards Trophy Case for the LB middle school.

• Booster Member Meeting: 20 April at 7:30pm in the LBSS Library
• In addition, the Hunt SAT Prep Course offers multiple dates throughout the year.  Special rates for Lake Braddock students are available.  Enroll at www.huntprograms.com or by calling 703-425-7656 and mention that you are a Lake Braddock student who heard about it from the Academic Booster Club.
