Student Testing

PSAT, WIDA, SOL, AP, End of Year Testing, and More

UPDATE 4/24/2020: Due to the cancellation of SOL testing in May 2020, the VDOE has set forth new regulations on testing. Please see below for current information regarding verified (SOL) credit:

Underclassmen: Students in grades 9 through 11 will receive the emergency SOL LAVC credit where needed for the SOL classes they are 1) currently enrolled in and 2) provided they pass the class. This waiver only applies to the 2019-2020 school year. The emergency LAVC will not count against the student's total LAVC limits.

Seniors: For seniors who will be graduating by August 2020, the emergency SOL LAVC waiver applies as well, but also has additional guidelines to allow the most flexibility in order to ensure on-time graduation. Seniors will receive the emergency SOL LAVC credit for any courses for which they still need the SOL test to receive verified credit for graduation provided that they have a passing grade for that course. This includes courses passed in prior years and for any Student-Selected SOL credit still needed. The emergency LAVC will not count against the student's total LAVC limits.

More information can be found in the state Superintendent’s Memo. Click here to access the complete memo.
