Sophomores Madelyn Cahill and Julia Martens noticed the growing trend of Juuling and vaping among their fellow students. Rather than ignoring the issue, they decided to highlight the negative health effects of vaping and Juuling by creating an anti-Juuling campaign for a DECA competition. This campaign included flyers around the school and a video that was shown to both middle and high school students. Their creativity and choice of a real-world issue was so effective that it spotlighted by Aaron Gilchrist on NBC Washington's evening news program. Watch the story on their campaign, called "Be Cool, Don't Juul" on NBC Washington's website
